Sina Zere
Sina Zere is the Program Manager at the McLaughlin-Rotman Centre for Global Health and manages the program’s administrative functions including the operations team, financials, human resources, branding and marketing.
Sina joined the McLaughlin-Rotman Centre for Global Health in 2008 where she: 1) developed recommendations for a Fortune 500 company to efficiently manage its external scientific, policy and ethical information; 2) coordinated a global, research contract-awarding process worth $1.2 million, which included liaising with international advisory groups and critically assessing over 55 proposals from developing countries; and 3) identified priority applications and commercialization pathways for a medical diagnostic technology in developing countries for a Canadian consortium of researchers.
Sina graduated from McMaster University in 2007 with an Honours B.Sc. in Biology- Genetics Co-op Specialization and from the University of Toronto in 2009 with a Masters of Biotechnology. Sina’s past work experience includes extensive laboratory research in the areas of cellular and molecular biology and work with a Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care-funded home health care agency.
