Renaud Boulanger

Renaud BoulangerRenaud Boulanger is a Research Officer at the McLaughlin-Rotman Centre for Global Health, within the Ethical, Social, and Cultural Program for Grand Challenges in Global Health Initiative, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Renaud joined the McLaughlin-Rotman Centre for Global Health in 2008, first as a Summer Student and then as a Research Assistant, to research community engagement in the developing world under the supervision of Dr. Jim Lavery and Dr. Sunita Bandewar. Before joining the McLaughlin-Rotman Centre for Global Health, Renaud worked as a Summer Student at the Joint Centre for Bioethics at the University of Toronto, Canada. During his appointment, he reviewed the Advance Care Planning pilot protocol of Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga and presented his recommendations to clinicians and senior managers. Prior to that, through his involvement with the Centre for Urban Health Initiatives and the Health Studies Student Union, Renaud participated in strengthening the Placement program of the Health Studies Program at the University of Toronto.

Renaud graduated in 2005 from the United World College of the Atlantic, where he completed the International Baccalaureate. He is currently finishing his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto and hopes to pursue graduate education in bioethics, with a focus on global justice and international research ethics.
