Rahim Rezaie

Rahim Rezaie is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Medical Science.  He is based at the McLaughlin-Rotman Centre for Global Health, where he studies health biotechnology innovation in the emerging economies of Brazil, China and India.  His previous studies include a Masters degree in biotechnology (M.Biotech), an Hon. B.Sc. (specializing in cell and molecular biology) and a minor in psychology.  His work experiences include genetic diagnosis of a host of hereditary human conditions and pharmaceutical regulatory affairs.  His current research explores innovation within domestic enterprises in the emerging economies, with a focus on firm-specific innovation strategies and the broader institutional environment.
