Genomic medicine and developing countries: creating a room of their own

The article “Genomic medicine and developing countries: creating a room of their own”, written by our Human Genomic Variation team here at the MRC, has been published in the June 2008 issue of Nature Reviews Genetics. The article focusses on our work in Mexico, India and Thailand where we describe how large-scale population genotyping projects are being adopted to improve public health and create knowledge-based economies.
