The MRC releases a game on Facebook to help eradicate malaria

Mosquito SPLAT is a new Facebook game that helps you do your part for one of the most serious global health problems in the developing world.

It's quick, easy, fun, and a great way to help eradicate malaria. Every time you play, advertisers make a donation to support malaria research in the developing world.

Nearly 500 million cases of malaria occur each year, resulting in over one million deaths. Malaria is particularly devastating in Africa, where it is a leading killer of children - every 30 seconds a child in Africa dies from the disease.

The aim of the game is to use the fly squatter to SPLAT mosquitoes before the baby gets malaria. For each mosquito you SPLAT, you score 10 points. For every 100 points scored, advertisers will make a donation to support malaria research projects at the National Institute for Medical Research in Tanzania. You will also score 10 points for everyone you invite to play the game, so make sure to invite your friends to play the game!

Please help eradicate malaria by playing Mosquito SPLAT on Facebook... and challenge your friends too! Please follow this link to play the game or click on the image below:
