Maya Maliakkal

Maya Maliakkal is part of the Human Genomic Variation Project team.  She was previously involved with the Private Sector project studying Brazilian SME’s addressing local health needs. She graduated from the University of Toronto with an Integrative Biology Specialist and Psychology Minor. In the past, she has worked with HIV/AIDS home-based care and TB programs in Nairobi, and has researched bacterial and fungal communities via PCR-DGGE. She is also involved with a multiple myeloma study and serves on a hospital REB.
