Billie-Jo Hardy
Billie-Jo Hardy is a graduate student at the Institute for Medical Sciences, University of Toronto. She has a Masters of Biotechnology (M.Biotech) and an Honors Specialist in Biology with a Major in Bio Ethics. Billie-Jo has interned as a Commercialization Officer with the Western GTA Convergence Centre and as a Research Assistant in Formulations and Stability at sanofi pasteur. Her thesis builds on her interest in the adoption of innovative science and technology to improve public health and fuel economic growth in the developing world. Currently, under the supervision of Dr. Abdallah Daar and Dr. Béatrice Séguin, she is exploring the motivation, challenges, potential opportunities and harms, to adopting genotyping technologies for improving health in Mexico, India and South Africa.
